Man's sorrow today has three primary reasons: he has forgotten that the effulgence of a crore suns is within him in the form of the Atma, he has forgotten the truth that he is the child of immortality, and he has forgotten the reality that he is the embodiment of bliss. It is to proclaim these three sacred truths that every man comes as a messenger of God to the world. Food, sleep, fear and procreation are being enjoyed by all animals and birds too. If man, endowed with intelligence, discrimination and wisdom, lives for the same, it is an animal existence and cannot be called a human life. Jesus Christ came first as the Messenger, then through the blossoming of divinity, service to society and recognition of the equality among all beings and sharing these with all, he rose to the second stage where he declared Himself as the Son of God. The one who claims to be the son of God must have only the qualities of God, and should serve society with pure and selfless love. After displaying these sacred traits, finally, Jesus rose to the status of ‘I and my Father are One.’ Similarly, when we try to imbibe the qualities of God as His children, we can reach the state of the Divine Father.
